East Hall
Deliverables: Wayfinding System, Visual Identity, Typography
For: University of Michigan’s East Hall Building
East Hall, originally known as Tappan School located at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor was built in 1883 and remodeled in 1922. The building is home to the Mathematics and Psychology departments, consisting of six stories. I developed a new way finding a system that coincides with the identity established throughout the building. The current system lacks a sense of consistency, with many of the signs being printed and pasted on walls and doors. The new system is an important aspect in creating a cohesive visual experience and better navigational tools for individuals to find their way throughout the space.
